How to delete your account

Deleting your Resumonk account removes your resumes, your cover letters, and your drafts for good. There is no undo, so it is worth taking the export first.

1. If you want a copy of your work, export your data and wait for the email before you go on.

2. Open your account page and scroll to the bottom.

3. Click Delete account.

   

4. A dialog asks you to confirm. Type delete in the field, then click Delete my account.

What happens next

You are signed out at once and Resumonk shows you a page confirming it. Your resumes, cover letters, and drafts are removed in the background, which takes a few moments.

If you are paying for a plan

You do not have to cancel first. Deleting your account ends the subscription with it, so you are not billed again. The dialog tells you this before you confirm, and gives you a link to your billing page if you want to look before you decide.

Good to know

• Deleting is permanent. Resumonk cannot bring a deleted account back, and neither can support.
• Any public resume link you shared stops working.
• Billing records required by financial law are retained by our payment provider, and we keep the messages you have sent us, along with the details attached to them, as a record of that correspondence. The delete dialog says so before you confirm.
