Job Description

The Lead Game Designer will be managing and leading a multidisciplinary team consisting of Game Design, Game Economy Design and UX/UI Design. You will support the Project Lead to shape the games overall direction and vision and reassure the team's design work contributes to it . You will work closely with management to anticipate and resolve potential development / design risks and bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the work performed by the team will contribute to player satisfaction and supports the overall project vision
• Elaborate how blockchain technologies can create new opportunities for player engagement and motivation
• Work with project management to determine and assess design tasks, design capacities and manage the design team
• Support artists and programmers to ensure proper implementation of the game features
• Communicate project objectives and strategies to team members
• Own the GDD and provide clear and structured documentation to ensure that feature designs are up-to-date and understood
• Participate in the design of the game by creating high concepts and feature designs
• Actively participate in the decision-making process with management and oversee the necessary adjustments to ensure that the team meets expectations
• Suggest development and interpersonal skills training and techniques sessions to team members
• Support the project lead with performance follow ups and assessments

Qualifications

• Must have shipped at least 1 game as a Lead or Senior Game Designer role
• Comprehensive understanding of game systems, player motivations, combined with demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and rectify game design and systemic issues
• Experience working in Unity 3D Engine
• Has experience in leading a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong management and planning skills
• Highly organized, analytical and proactive
• Excellent management and planning skills
• Passionate about playing and creating games
• Interested in web3 and blockchain technologies
• Bonus: worked in f2p and on RPG and Strategy Games
