As a Senior Quality Engineer at Khan Academy, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our web-based products used by schools and learners to improve educational outcomes. You will engage in both manual testing and test automation, developing and maintaining automated tests to detect regressions while also performing comprehensive manual testing of new features. Working within a cross-functional product development team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and support teams to advocate for exceptional user experiences through all stages of the product design and development lifecycle. Your strong communication skills, keen eye, creativity, and experience in automated test development at all levels (frontend, backend, white box, and black box) will be key to your success in this role.

  • Owning manual test plan development and execution for new features on the team.

  • Building and maintaining new test automation to fill coverage gaps using insights from manual testing, stakeholder priorities, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners throughout the SDLC, including planning, design reviews, and development discussions to ensure quality is cons
