Code.org® is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by young women and students from other underrepresented groups. Our vision is that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education. The leading provider of K-12 computer science curriculum in the largest school districts in the United States, Code.org also created the annual Hour of Code campaign, which has engaged more than 15% of all students in the world.

We are looking for a Marketing Programs Coordinator to support major marketing and partner, community, and student engagement programs at Code.org. As Marketing Programs Coordinator, you will collaborate with members of our marketing team, and with cross-team and external partners to make sure projects get the resources and attention they need to be successful. In this new role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of a multitude of activities during major campaigns like the Hour of Code.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As Marketing Programs Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating tactics for the smooth execution of programs and regularly planned campaigns: 

• Help prepare for online events offered through CS Journeys and other marketing programs: set up and lead registration; coordinate schedules and prepare guest speakers, panelists, and other third parties; coordinate support from internal staff and keep everyone on schedule • Coordinate surveys and responses to collect feedback and metrics for marketing programs • Help lead the Hour of Code activity submission process, working with the Marketing Program Manager, third party activity providers, and our teacher review board to decide activities placed on the HourOfCode.com website. • Build and maintain good relationships with third party curriculum providers. • Help plan and run support activities for corporate supporters’ employee engagement. • Provide support and coordination with different internal stakeholders for regularly planned marketing campaigns such as teacher recruitment for our professional learning programs. • Help produce and update content as needed to support ongoing program updates. • Provide other additional marketing support as needed.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an efficient, detail-oriented self-starter, experienced in communications. You should be able to multitask, excel under pressure, and work independently with a geographically dispersed team. As our ideal candidate, you are tech-savvy, and able to swiftly prioritize duties as needed on multiple ongoing projects. You should be flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

As our ideal candidate, you have the following qualifications: • 2+ years of experience relevant to the role • Excellent organizational skills, ideally with experience in project coordination or management. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to learn and respond quickly • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a wide range of internal teams, and produce on deadline in a fast-paced environment • Confident and at ease speaking to partners, community members, and other third parties on behalf of Code.org • Proficient in using Google suite of applications, especially sheets and forms.  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience • Familiarity or background in educational communications preferred (no background in Computer Science needed!)
