About Coda

Coda started with an observation: In a world full of applications, why do documents and spreadsheets still run everything? And why haven’t they been meaningfully updated in over 50 years? Coda is a new doc that’s familiar and flexible like the documents you’re used to, but comes with building blocks you can combine to create docs as powerful as apps. It’s a big product with an even bigger mission. And we need your help to spread the word! We’re backed by some of the Valley’s leading venture capitalists, and have assembled a world-class team across offices in San Francisco, Mountain View, and Seattle, and remote employees all over the US. In fact, all our jobs are open in any location across the US. Here’s a quick overview of what we do. About the Role

TL;DR: Solutions Architects use the building blocks across Coda to design, develop, and launch solutions to the market. They launch these solutions for many personas across multiple verticals (team / industry) and horizontals (use cases, JTBD). In short, they are a full-stack SaaS generalist. Because Coda is a no/low code tool and we’ve built much of the company around empowering Codans and makers with modular building blocks, our SAs can create across the end-to-end (E2E) customer journey and along the product development process (SDLC), bringing cross functional experts across the company — especially from SPMB — where needed:

  • Writing: In doc copy, blog posts, landing page, ads, email.

  • Design: Strong eye for good design, smooth UX/UI, information hierarchy. Comfort with Figma.

  • Engineering: System database structure, logic with buttons, automations, integrations / embeds (Packs and the SDK - experience with APIs/ .js a plus ).

  • Product sensibility: Persona (industry / team function), use cases, JTBD / user stories, user research. Highly empathetic and able to deeply understand their needs/challenges/problems so that we create the best solutions that resonate with them.

  • Customer-facing enablement: Interface with sales/success/support and especially Solution Engineers to iterate on messaging (discovery, pitch, demo), the solution, competitive positioning, and the value sell.

  • Marketing: embed and provide authentic value within target communities (social, persona specific), co-create with high-profile influencers / users, create hype, craft campaigns, launch products, support case studies

  • Video: GIFs, video production tinkerer, punchy demos with tools like Loom/YouTube
