About the Team The Clients Team is on a mission to make it as easy as possible to use Apache Kafka with any programming language. We develop high performance client libraries and APIs targeting various languages, and our passions range from squeezing an extra percent point of performance out of some low level networking code to designing APIs that are a joy to use. The software we make defines how users interact with Kafka - so it’s high impact and very close to users. When we’re not writing code, you’ll find us out in the open source community (much of what we work on is open source), or helping our customers with some of their toughest problems.

You will be part of the team which enables Kafka to be used on any platform and on any language using standard interfaces and responsible for building critical features where stability and performance are of the highest concern. We are at the beginning of this engineering journey and are looking for great engineers to join our world class team who are passionate about building and running large scale, multi-tenant distributed data systems for customers that expect a high level of availability.
