Lev Slootsky is an analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group, Lev Slootsky worked in the Investment Research department of Merrill Lynch focused on sovereign bond research and trading where Lev created a model to forecast Emerging Market Sovereign Spreads using both EM and US macroeconomic variables. Prior to Merrill Lynch Lev Slootsky was an undergraduate and graduate student at Hunter College and Cornell University where his research focused on research in the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Financial Engineering areas. 


He co-authored a paper entitled 7Li and 51V Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Studies of LixV1-xCox Transition Metal Vanadates for Application as Lithium-Ion Battery Cathode Material during his time at the Hunter College Solid State NMR/EPR Laboratory in New York, NY. His Master’s thesis was entitled Modeling Oil Spreads: An Analytical Study of WTI-Brent Spread based on 20 years of Historical Performance.
