Emilio Longoria - Law Student at University of Texas

A JD candidate at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, Emilio Longoria expects to receive his degree in 2017. During his time as a law student, he earned the Beck Award for Outstanding Memorandum and the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students' Association Award. A Tom C. Clark Scholar and Presidential Scholar, Emilio Longoria has accepted an offer to join Norton Rose Fulbright after graduation.


In addition to his academic work, Longoria serves as a staff editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law. And, as a research assistant, he has been cited in three papers published by the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy regarding topics such as marketing and U.S. trade and foreign policy.


Emilio Longoria's work experience includes summer associate positions with Vinson & Elkins LLP and Winston & Strawn in Houston, Texas, as well as judicial internships with a judge on the Texas Supreme Court and a judge in the Southern District of Texas. Since 2015, he has served as a research assistant with Wendy E. Wagner, the Joe A. Worsham Centennial Professor at the University of Texas.
