Serving as a nurse practitioner for patients undergoing cardiac surgery since 2001, Karlin Keelan Smith holds a master's degree in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston and a master's degree in public health from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. As a nurse practitioner at Roper St. Francis Hospital, Karlin Keelan Smith conducts physical examinations on post-operative patients and coordinates medical procedures and plans of care.
