Cullen McKinney

Attorney Cullen McKinney earned a BA in political science from Michigan State University and completed a JD at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During the course of his law studies, he interned for former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Patricia Boyle. He has also worked as a case and comment editor for the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review and served on the board of directors for the school's moot court. In 1994, Cullen McKinney attained admission to practice law in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Since 2009, Mr. McKinney has served as a founding partner and principal of the Detroit-based firm Tanoury, Nauts, McKinney & Garbarino, PLLC. There, he provides defense for individuals and companies in civil litigation cases involving matters such as health law and medical malpractice, professional and general negligence, product and premises liability, and personal injury. Recognized in 2008 as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, Cullen McKinney also maintains an AV Preeminent rating on the peer-reviewed legal directory Martindale-Hubbell.

Complementing his trial practice, Cullen McKinney helps uphold the integrity of the regional legal community as a member of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and the Negligence Law section of the State Bar of Michigan. He also lectures throughout the state on professional.
