Jason Fitzgerald | Arlington

As assistant principal at Arlington High School in Texas, Jason Fitzgerald oversees 27 teachers and promotes data-driven teaching and the corrective instruction cycle. Having taken on the role of assistant principal at Arlington High School in 2015, he helped the school improve its District Curricular Assessment scores by five percent compared to scores during the 2015-16 school year. Jason Fitzgerald also actively engages with students and maintains responsibility for senior activities and coordination of graduation.

He came to this role having held the same position at Bailey Junior High School, where he handled discipline and attendance for nearly 400 students. After introducing the data-driven instructional cycle, he helped the school achieve a 10 percent increase in student pass rates. Before entering administration, he served as a high school social studies teacher, a position that gave him valuable experience in development of an International Baccalaureate (IB) course.

Jason Fitzgerald holds both a BA in history and an MEd in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
