The founder and CIO of Twin Capital Management in New York City, David Simon began his career as a corporate attorney before transitioning to finance. Prior to pursuing his professional endeavors, he graduated magna cum laude from Muhlenberg College, where he earned his bachelor of science in accounting and finance before moving on to obtain his JD from the University of Miami Law School, graduating magna cum laude. After practicing law briefly, David Simon joined Spear, Leeds & Kellogg as the head of risk arbitrage research and subsequently served in a similar role at Mercury Securities.

While he was at Mercury Securities, he established his own trading account, further utilizing opportunities presented by the 1987 stock market crash to generate significant returns. The profits enabled him to establish Twin Capital Management in 1988, an alternative investment firm, where he continues to serve as the managing member, as well as the chief investment officer and portfolio manager of its event-driven strategies. Focused on identifying and evaluating securities likely to experience a change in value resulting from transformational events, David Simon leads his team in allocating to a selective group of opportunities with the best risk/reward dynamics.

He balances his professional responsibilities with philanthropic activities, which he primarily pursues through his eponymous foundation. Focusing primarily on children's needs and outreach organizations, he co-sponsors the annual Solving Kids Cancer charitable dinner, in addition to co-founding the Starlight Children’s Foundation and H.E.L.P. USA Westchester golf outings.
