At SUSE we’re building the next-generation cloud platforms based on Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry. The SUSE Cloud Application Platform engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Stratos group to help build out our web-based management tools for Multi-Cloud Application Management. You will be actively contributing to the Cloud Foundry open source project.

Come join us if you have hands-on experience building complex web-based applications. A deep technical passion and enjoying learning the latest technologies and programming languages like Docker, Kubernetes, Angular and Go is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

Solid experience in software engineering from design through delivery

  • Hands-on experience with the Angular front-end framework together with Typescript

  • Experience developing rich, compelling web-based user interfaces

  • Experience in Agile methodologies

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience working on production, shipping code

  • Highly proficient in English (written and verbal)

  • Demonstrable experience working autonomously as part of a remote team.

  • Demonstrable experience contributing to Open Source projects

Bonus qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Apache Mesos, Docker containers

  • Knowledge of, or desire to learn, Go

  • Knowledge of RxJS

  • Experience and/or interest in Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • Experience with open source development

  • Experience with Cloud Computing (OpenStack, AWS, or Azure) and/or Distributed Systems
