Jerry Durant is the founder of Jerry Durant Auto Group, which covers 50 acres in Weatherford, Texas, and offers the public a vast range of new and pre-owned vehicles. Committed to providing customers with outstanding selection and unparalleled service, he maintains close communication with managers and staff to review sales and inventory. He was nominated for Time Dealer of the Year in 2014, and he has also earned the Weatherford's Citizen of the Year Award.
Outside the automobile industry, Jerry Durant has turned a passion for cutting horses into a thriving business operation. His total earnings from the sport exceed $2 million, and in 2007 he won the NCHA Futurity Open Reserve Championship, earned by Bubba Matlock and Durant's stallion Desires Little Rex. He is also a racehorse enthusiast, and his horse Macho Macho recently won $450,000 in the West Virginia Derby. His involvement with horse cutting, and particularly the monthly horse cutting shows he hosts, brings valuable revenue to the community.
