Ryan Mills | Pharmacist

A recipient of a doctor of pharmacy from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy, Ryan Mills holds a joint MBA-MHA from Pfeiffer University and a certificate in pharmacy leadership from the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy. He began his pharmacy career as a pharmacist in charge with CVS in Charlotte, North Carolina, before joining Coram Specialty Infusion Services as a home infusion pharmacist in 2009. In this role, Ryan Mills supervised compounded products, trained new employees, and evaluated physician medication orders.

Since 2011, Dr. Mills has worked with Novant Health in North Carolina. As a clinical staff pharmacist with the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem and Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, he handled tasks such as IV dilutions, chemotherapy preparation, pharmacokinetic dosing/monitoring, and ED culture reviews.

In 2015, Dr. Mills was promoted to pharmacy supervisor at Presbyterian, where he helped developed and implemented the pharmacy’s strategic plan while supervising the pharmacy team. He builds upon this experience in his current position as pharmacy manager for Novant Health’s Kernersville Medical Center and Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center. In this position, he supervises financial, quality control, regulatory, and communication functions across both hospitals.
