Polly Zebrowski, Optimizing Products without Compromising Quality

While earning her BA in studio arts and international development from Tulane University, Polly Zebrowski served as house manager for Pi Beta Phi Louisiana Alpha Chapter. In one term, Polly Zebrowski saved her house $11,000 without compromising or cutting services.

Graduating with a 3.6 GPA in 2010, Polly Zebrowski pursued graduate studies at Tulane University, entering the first class of master's students studying disaster resilience leadership and design. Concurrent with her studies, she worked as a freelance writer for Invade NOLA magazine, where she contributed articles and photography covering arts, fashion, and culture in New Orleans and across the country.

After earning her MS in 2012, Polly Zebrowski moved to San Francisco to take a fellowship with the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management. She gained experience in user experience and applied her skills to design and optimize a community request system and client management mechanisms. Moving to become a designer and resilience associate at the California Resiliency Alliance, she designed a user-centered training and response tool that cut response time by 50 percent.

After completing two intensive courses of user interface and user experience design training, Polly Zebrowski began working as a UI/UX freelancer. Currently, she works as an independent contractor for Weight Watchers and Color and Code.
