Samir H Bhatt

The recipient of a bachelor of science in computer science and an MBA in general management from Cornell University, Samir H. Bhatt started his career at JP Morgan Chase and later held senior management roles at Markit Group, Highbridge Capital Management, and Credit Suisse. He has more than 25 years of experience in alternative investments and leverages this to manage securities and commodity futures portfolios through the boutique firm SHB Advisors. Samir H. Bhatt founded the Washington, D.C. firm in 2013 and serves as its managing director.

Samir H. Bhatt has worked on several multi-billion dollar debt financing transactions during his career and was a portfolio manager for an investment management platform that he helped grow from $200 million to more than $8 billion in assets under management. He has also authored reports on investment vehicles such as residential mortgage-backed securities and structured finance CDO.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Bhatt supports the National Chorale and served on its board from 2009 to 2014. He also supports his alma mater and the Boys & Girls Club and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
