Dalvin Butler

Dalvin Butler is an educational practitioner with a wealth of experience in education and politics. The recipient of three associate of arts degrees while still in high school, Dalvin Butler earned a bachelor's degree in government from Georgetown University and completed his master’s degree in educational studies at Johns Hopkins University.

Dalvin Butler has held intern positions with the City of Oakland Mayor's Office, Bay Area Rapid Transit, and the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, where he organized medical records, subpoenas, and legal motions in the sexual assault and mental health unit for Deputy District Attorney Williams. He also volunteered for the Clinton Global Initiative and earned valuable advocacy and policy-making experience as part of Ralph Nader's Democracy is for the People campaign.

A chapter executive board member for the Hawaii State Teachers Association, Mr. Butler has served as a secondary teacher with the Hawaii Department of Education for several years. In this role, he designs lesson plans for seven subject areas, including global studies, geography, and Spanish, and tracks student progression with an emphasis on college readiness.
