Lianne McNally - Creator of Award-Winning Film Artists and Orphans

Lianne McNally is a writer, producer, and director whose work has been seen on the HBO, Showtime, the History Channel, USA Network and other major outlets. Lianne McNally is best known for her award-winning independent short documentary Artists and Orphans: A True Drama.

Artists and Orphans follows a group of American theater performers who help an orphanage in the Republic of Georgia. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject in 2002, McNally's film won many festival awards, including Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Inspiration Award for Best Documentary at the Lake Arrowhead Film Festival. The film aired on WE in the US and in numerous countries internationally.

Before her independent work, Lianne McNally produced two seasons of The Best Of Us, a positive news show from CBS News Productions. She has also produced advocacy and promotional videos for a variety of nonprofits, including SKIP of New York, the New York Restoration Project and the Doe Fund.
