An experienced medical financing specialist, Mary Pat Higley studied pre-pharmacy and pharmacology within the University of California school system. During this time, she served as a member of both the Phi Delta Chi pharmacy organization and the Alpha Lamba Delta honors sorority. Mary Pat Higley ultimately obtained her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of California San Francisco in 1981. She then entered the professional healthcare field as a staff pharmacist at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California.
In 1984, Ms. Higley returned to the academic setting to study marketing and finance at the Pepperdine University School of Management in Malibu, California, where she earned her master of business administration. She consistently earned a place on the dean's list and served as a team leader on several strategic projects. Ms. Higley currently operates her own private medical consulting and data analysis business in Newport Beach, where she mines databases for information to manage medication utilization projects and create global reports.
