Robert Miller (Abakan)

An experienced executive, Robert Miller formerly served as the chief executive officer of Abakan Inc., where he worked for seven years. Abakan is a firm that invests-in and operates early-stage nanotechnology and material science companies. As head of the company, Robert Miller negotiated the successful acquisition of MesoCoat Inc., a a nanotechnology and industrial science company. He also raised $30 million in non-dilutive and dilutive financing to fuel the company’s expansion.

Currently, Robert Miller is the CEO of Battery Metal Inc. and Solar Avenir Inc. Through Battery Metal, he invests in companies that mine and process coltan, tin, lithium, and other minerals involved in the production of batteries. Solar Avenir is dedicated to bringing new solar power technologies to the marketplace. He personally financed the initial $3 million infusion for the company. He is also currently a consultant with Prosper Financial Inc., where he helps oversee portfolio companies and manage administrative operations.

Recreationally, he keeps active by skiing and playing soccer. He also enjoys relaxing at the beach and following the NBA, especially Lebron James.
