Constantine Toumbis

A partner and orthopaedic surgeon with Citrus Spine Center in Crystal River, Florida, Dr. Constantine Toumbis received his PhD in experimental pathology from State University of New York at Buffalo. In recent years, he has focused his research on a variety of topics within the field of thoracic, cervical, and lumbar surgery, including the relationship between antibiotics and tensile load of PMMA cement. Dr. Constantine Toumbis currently serves as a surgical consultant and cervical spine implant designer with Alphatec Spine, where he leads the company's development of the "Arsenal" pedicle screw.

As a surgeon with Citrus Spine Center, Dr. Constantine Toumbis offers a full range of spinal services for patients experiencing neck and back pain. A certified member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, he was named a "Top Doctor" by Castle Connolly Medical in four of the past five years.

Dr. Toumbis received his MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Florida.
