A partner and orthopaedic surgeon with Citrus Spine Center in Crystal River, Florida, Dr. Constantine Toumbis received his PhD in experimental pathology from State University of New York at Buffalo. In recent years, he has focused his research on a variety of topics within the field of thoracic, cervical, and lumbar surgery, including the relationship between antibiotics and tensile load of PMMA cement. Dr. Constantine Toumbis currently serves as a surgical consultant and cervical spine implant designer with Alphatec Spine, where he leads the company's development of the "Arsenal" pedicle screw.
