Internationally educated and military-trained, Luca Simmons speaks Brazilian Portuguese and Italian in addition to his native English. While studying international relations at the American University of Rome, he learned about nation-building efforts for Kosovo. He also supervised sophomore cadets during a summer program while attending the United States Air Force Academy. Luca Simmons is an accomplished athlete who played on the Air Force Academy baseball team and competed as a baseball catcher, football linebacker, and wrestler in high school.
Mr. Simmons currently helps with a range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures as a dental assistant in Maryland. His daily duties include providing pre-op/post-op care for clinic patients and answering client questions on various medical and administrative issues.
Luca Simmons is concurrently enrolled at the Carey Business School of Johns Hopkins University at the school’s Washington, DC campus. Taking courses on subjects that range from marketing and accounting to business statistics and ethics, he is on schedule to earn his bachelor of business administration in May of 2018.
