Kevin Martoken

Experienced Accountant for Diverse Hedge Funds

Currently a fund accountant at the New York City office of Grassi & Co., Kevin Martoken worked early in his career as a senior finance associate for Golstein, Golub, & Kessler. There, he directed annual audits for hedge funds managing assets in the $100-to-$500 million range. At Promethan Investment Group, he performed accounting for three funds with investments across diverse asset classes, including convertibles, options, and equities. Mr. Martoken served for a year as a senior finance associate at Lehman Brothers, Inc., where he carried out internal corporate auditing and conducted accounting and reporting functions for hedge funds holding assets in excess of $750 million. While serving in a senior role with Ryan Associates, Kevin Martoken helped clients change over their portfolio accounting platform to Advent Geneva software and oversaw reconciliations with earlier systems.

In his position with Grassi & Co., Mr. Martoken administers accounting operations for hedge fund clients. Along with executing end-of-month financial account reviews and closings, he performs profit and loss reporting, sets capital allocation schedules, and records accrued incomes and expenses. He also maintains communication with clients concerning the status of their account balance. As an outside auditor, Mr. Martoken provides assistance in areas such as footnotes and financial statements.

Before beginning his career, Kevin Martoken earned a BS in accounting from Syracuse University. He has attained advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Advent Geneva versions 5.0 to 8.0 and possesses experience in several other accounting programs, such as Peachtree and QuickBooks.
