Tim Shields (UBS)

Project and Program Portfolio Management at UBS

Since 2002, Timothy Shields has served as a director at UBS in Chicago, Illinois. He currently oversees long-term technology projects, including an ongoing initiative to redevelop the firm's operating platform and to install upgraded servers worldwide. In addition, Timothy (Tim) Shields is responsible for evaluating UBS' complex IT programs with the aim of managing costs and raising revenue in the investment banking and wealth management divisions.


Outside of work, Mr. Shields contributes to the community by serving on the board of directors of Morningside Academy in Oak Park, Illinois. He offers financial insight and assists with school marketing campaigns.


Preparing for his career, Mr. Shields earned a bachelor of science in economics with emphases in finance and accounting at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He passed the certified public accountant (CPA) exam upon graduating and accepted a position with the Financial Group of JP Morgan in New York City. Following his tenure there, he completed an MBA at Stanford University. While attending Stanford, he participated in the Challenge for Charity (C4C) program.
