Amir Pirnia

The vice president of engineering with the HR benefits technology company Hixme, Amir Pirnia earned both a bachelor of science in computer science and a bachelor of science in computer information systems from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. Amir Pirnia returned to the academic environment roughly a decade later to obtain his executive master of business administration with a focus in marketing management and strategy from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

Before accepting his current position with Hixme in 2015, Amir Pirnia oversaw the development of mobile and web platforms as vice president of engineering with Age of Learning/ABCMouse.com. He also served senior directorial and architectural posts with LegalZoom and Arcadian Management Services (a healthcare management company that now does business as Humana). He got his professional start as a software developer with AES New Energy and NirvanaSoft (a billing systems company that now does business as Hansen Technologies).
