Mauricio Corredor

An experienced educator, Mauricio Corredor has spent more than 15 years as a bilingual teacher at Tomas Rivera Elementary School in the Denton Independent School District in Denton, Texas. In addition to teaching content in core academic areas, Mauricio Corredor has implemented the Gomez and Gomez Dual Language program to support students in second-language acquisition and to deepen cultural understanding among diverse populations.

Committed to empowering his students to succeed, Mr. Corredor also utilizes the CHAMPs classroom management system, which cultivates responsibility and motivation through specific instructional techniques. Mr. Corredor is certified by the state of Texas in special education and bilingual education. He is also certified in practical parent education, an evidence-informed program that supports families of students by acknowledging their cultural backgrounds and shared community values.  

Mauricio Corredor holds a bachelor of science in applied behavior analysis from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree in language and culture from Salamanca University in Spain.
