Sergio Paez

The human resources director of Leominster Public Schools in Leominster, Massachusetts, Sergio Paez oversees district-wide hiring and recruitment to promote quality education for more than 6,200 students. Sergio Paez also administers a range of contract negotiations and employee benefit plans and spearheads human resource investigations whenever necessary.

Working alongside his wife Andrea, he recently established the Dream Endowment, an educational fund dedicated to helping underprivileged students secure the necessary financial resources to attend college. Under the Paez' direction, the Dream Endowment reaches out to students in the 60th to 90th income percentile, who are ineligible for federal aid.

Before joining Leominster Public Schools in 2016, Sergio Paez served two years as a superintendent with Holyoke Public Schools in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he led the Holyoke Early Literacy Initiative (HELI) to promote childhood reading from birth to third grade. The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading recognized HELI as a 2014 Pacesetter for the program's ability to significantly boost student outcomes.
