David Bohn | Redding, CT

David Bohn is a Redding, CT, resident who has held leadership positions with Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation since the late 1980s. Joining the Danbury, CT-based firm as an inside sales professional, he undertook customer service and provided technical support related to fuel-handling equipment. Further, he increased sales of core products by 250 percent. As New England district sales manager from 1988 to 1994, David Bohn oversaw the hiring and development of sales staff and service engineers. He also worked with consulting engineers in the design of fuel handling systems for emergency generators and burner and boiler combustion systems that integrated combustion controls and data acquisition capabilities.

Since becoming president of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation in 1995, Mr. Bohn has increased annual corporate revenue significantly by developing new manufacturing efficiencies and forging new markets and sales channels. He is responsible for new product development and has overseen the creation of advanced oil-handling systems as well as industrial burner and boilers systems for schools, hospitals, business and the petro-chemical industry. David Bohn has grown the Preferred Engineering division of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation through diversification and development of products that are utilized in the nuclear power industry. David Bohn holds a BA in English and classics from Hamilton College.
