A lifelong admirer of nature and supporter of conservation efforts, Mary Gregor has served as a trustee of the Meadows and Mountains Trust in Amity, Maine, since 1993. During that time, Mary Gregor has grown the trust's assets by buying and selling real estate in Maine and using effective advertising measures.
Moreover, she has helped the trust maintain a charitable relationship with the Forest Society of Maine (FSM) through the execution of environmental forestry conservation easement gifts that have protected hundreds of acres of property. In addition, she sold more than 500 acres of coastal property to the Maine Coast Heritage Trust at prices well below market value in order to protect the valuable land from development.
She earned a plaque of appreciation for her work from the FSM in 2008, and she will be awarded a similar plaque in 2018 for her efforts to provide conservation protections for a wilderness river in Haynesville.
Ms. Gregor holds a bachelor's degree in plant and soil science from the University of Maine. In high school, she was inducted into the National Honor Society.
