Kristopher Dreyer began working in the field of education in 2001, when he became head of a charter school in Detroit, Michigan. He gathered a student body of 900, many of whom had come from failing schools, and facilitated a transition to the state-mandated parent led format. Kristopher Dreyer also developed the school's curriculum and oversaw the preparation of staff, faculty, and facilities.

In 2005, Kristopher Dreyer left education to become director of operations for Magna International. Drawing on a mechanical engineering degree from Bedford University, he oversaw plants in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He set up a new plant in Toluca, Mexico, which employed 2,000 people, and negotiated a nine-figure sales increase with a major client.

Kristopher Dreyer served the company for more than three years, after which time he returned to educational leadership as CEO of Maranatha High School in Pasadena, California. He led its financial turnaround and recovery from debt, a process supported by the hiring of a professional chef whose healthy new menu made national news. Meanwhile, Mr. Dreyer continued to oversee all of the school's daily operations including athletics, public relations, and transportation.
