As managing partner with the law firm of Gentle, Turner, Sexton and Harbison in Birmingham, Alabama, Edgar Gentle has served as an appointed settlement administrator and/or special master in several high-profile legal proceedings, including the multibillion-dollar MDL Blue Cross Antitrust Litigation and the multimillion-dollar Tolbert PCB Settlement with Monsanto and Solutia. Edgar Gentle also leads as treasurer of the Alabama Democratic Party and as director, board chairman, and one-third stockholder of Custom Cable Services, a Fultondale, Alabama-based company that generates annual sales of approximately $13 million.


Edgar Gentle maintains membership with the Alabama State Bar and is admitted to practice before multiple federal district and appellate courts. In addition to representing clients directly, he has written a number of published articles on subjects such as the use of cy-pres doctrine in settlements and tax reform in the State of Alabama. A writer outside of the field of law as well, he is the author of Pond Mountain Tales, book of short stories and poems.
