Mike Hernandez III

Micheal Albert Hernandez III, or Mike Hernandez, has become an important presence in the community of Brownsville, Texas. Since his semi-retirement, he has committed himself to philanthropy in the local community of Brownsville. In Dallas, Mike Hernandez III oversaw D & M Leasing, one of the nation's leading companies in consumer automobile leasing. After the success of D & M Leasing, he decided to shift his focus to helping the residents of Brownsville, Texas, his hometown. Brownsville is recognized as being one of the country's poorest communities.

Micheal Albert Hernandez III has pledged to donate $10 million to the community over the course of the coming decade. His major focus includes education and job creation. Recently, he founded OP 10.33 PAC, an organization with a plan to transform the town into a leading center of Cameron County by 2033.

Brownsville is situated on the Gulf of Mexico and shares a border with Mexico, which puts it in a unique economic position. Through OP 10.33, Mike Hernandez III plans to take advantage of this position and build a strong network of social services that can speed community development, including access to alternative healthcare options.
