Retired partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Frederick ("Fred") Tanne served the firm for more than two decades. A resident of Florida, he has also advised and lead various other organizations; a senior advisor for Ikove Capital Partners LLC, a venture capital company that focuses on making early stage investments in commercializing technology coming out of various research universities, Frederick Tanne serves on the Board of Nikola Labs, Inc., one of Ikove's portfolio companies, as well. Additionally, Mr. Tanne operates as the vice chairman of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Frederick Tanne began his distinguished career more than three decades ago as an associate with Shearman & Sterling LLP after graduating from Northwestern University with a BS in communication studies and Emory University with a JD. While there, he focused on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions law. Four years later, Fred Tanne assumed the duties of an associate at Kirkland & Ellis, where he concentrated on negotiating and structuring complex business transactions and played an instrumental role in the firm's expansion into New York. He was promoted to junior partner after a year and senior partner after five years.
