Michael Kuzniewski is the superintendent of JS Morton High School District 201 in Cicero/Berwyn, Illinois, where he has been since 2010. His accomplishments since taking the position include successfully balancing the budget for 5 consecutive years, developing a professional development plan, and increasing enrollment in AP classes by 122 percent by removing barriers. Prior to becoming superintendent of the schools, Michael Kuzniewski spent two years as assistant superintendent, a role in which he created the district's three-year curriculum plan and a plan for creating and overseeing district partnerships. He also contributed to the district negotiations team and managed the human resources department.

Michael Kuzniewski earned a master of education in administration and supervision from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a PhD in educational leadership from Nova University in Fort Lauderdale. He began his career in education as a teacher at Safety Harbor Middle School in Florida. He has also taught at Nova Southeastern University and Largo Middle School. Mr. Kuzniewski maintains membership with the Illinois Association of School Administrators.
