Dr. Scott Altschuler

Dr. Scott Altschuler has served as managing physician of Treasure Coast GI since establishing this Port St. Lucie, Florida-based practice in 2017. His areas of focus includes treatment for gastrointestinal conditions such as constipation, diarrhea, acid reflux, diverticulosis, hepatitis C, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. After identifying patient issues, Dr. Altschuler provides a range of treatment options from dietary and lifestyle changes to medications, colonoscopies and endoscopies.

Dr. Altschuler formerly practiced with several different medical groups, including Digestive Health Physicians in Fort Myers, Florida, Heart and Family Health Institute in Port St Lucie, Florida and Digestive Care in Jupiter, Florida. In addition to treating patients directly, he is an accomplished researcher who has published multiple peer-reviewed clinical articles. He also co-wrote the fourth edition of the textbook GI/Liver Secrets.

As an educator, Dr. Scott Altschuler has a history of teaching medical students and residents-in-training. He currently lectures on a periodic basis as a teaching assistant at the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
