Felix Rippy recently (October 14, 2016) collaborated with Professor Doug Noonan on a widely attended symposium hosted by IUPUI on sustainably financing public safety, attended by former IUPUI SPEA affiliate and now Police Chief Troy Riggs and Mayor Joe Hogsett and other law enforcement personnel and policy makers from around the nation. The white paper, "Sustainably Financing Public Safety" is available on line through IUPUI INdianapolis SPEA department.
An Indiana-based family law attorney with more than 25 years of experience, Felix Rippy is currently pursuing a PhD in public management at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. Previously, he spent two decades as a founding partner with Rippy Law Firm, representing more family law clients than any lawyer in Williamson County history. Felix Rippy has also served as an election judge for a dozen elections in Williamson County, Texas, and managed several successful campaigns for Williamson County judges, as well as himself being elected as a precinct chair in three different Williamson County, Texas Precincts.
Felix Rippy holds a bachelor of arts in history (cum laude, with honors) from Harvard University (Kirkland House, 1984) and an MBA from the Indiana University Graduate School of Business,in 1992, where he was Salutatorian. He graduated in the top third of his class with a juris doctor from the University of Texas School of Law. An avid distance runner in his free time, Mr. Rippy has participated in more than 400 charity races in the last decade. In 2014 alone, he completed 50 5K races in central Texas and won the overall title in the 16-race Centex Race Series.
