Laura Lyn Jacimore

A board-certified radiation oncologist in Garner, North Carolina, Dr. Laura Lyn Jacimore works at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Cancer Care at Nash treatment center in Rocky Mount, NC. Dr. Laura Lyn Jacimore's position at the cancer center involves the use of linear accelerators to treat malignancies of the head, neck, lung, skin, breast, lymphatic system, gastrointestinal tract, and genitourinary system.

In addition to providing direct patient care, Dr. Jacimore performed administrative functions in multiple hospital departments as president of the facility's medical staff for two years during 2017 and 2018 and currently continues in many of those roles as immediate past-president. She also sits on the UNC Cancer Care at Nash Cancer Committee, which is a multidisciplinary group that meets five times per year to ensure quality and overall improvements in patient cancer care, from initial cancer diagnosis to treatment to remission and survivorship.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Jacimore enjoys reading, traveling, baking, spending time with friends, and following her favorite sports teams. Her travels often involve ski trips, beach trips, as well as trips to visit her siblings and their immediate families in Arkansas.
