Vascular Surgeon and Educator Leads His Own Practice

In 1999, Mitar Vranic, DO, initiated his surgical career at Arizona Heart Institute, where in serving as a vascular surgeon for four years he developed techniques and technologies still utilized in surgical procedures today. Subsequently, he transitioned to Cardiovascular Associates of Mesa before establishing Western Vascular Institute in 2005. Leading the practice as CEO, Dr. Mitar Vranic also performs as a vascular surgeon, a capacity in which he has earned recognition as a Top Doctor in the Phoenix region for several consecutive years.

Apart from running his practice. Dr. Mitar Vranic has shared his professional knowledge with aspiring surgeons as an adjunct member of the clinical faculty at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Currently, he maintains responsibilities as an associate professor of surgery at Midwestern University.

Dr. Mitar Vranic obtained his DO from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences and went on complete surgical training through an internship, residency, and fellowship at the Ohio University Doctors Hospital. His training also includes an additional surgical fellowship at Arizona Heart Institute.
