Chinese Studies Specialist and New York Attorney Mark Fung

A graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Mark Fung holds a master of arts in international economics and a doctor of philosophy in Chinese studies. Over the course of his career, he has dedicated significant time to researching Chinese politics, economics, and leadership under Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski and through other organizations. At present, Mark Fung is a fellow with the Harvard University Asia Center. He also serves as an attorney in New York with a practice that focuses on corporate law and international business practice, as well as international arbitration. His juris doctor was earned from the Brooklyn Law School, where he also assisted with the Journal of Law and Policy.


Mark Fung remains actively involved with his professional community on several different levels. In addition to sitting on the National Committee on US-China relations and the Council on Foreign Relations, he is an advisor to the Asian American Bar Association of New York. He also serves on the New York University Board of Trustees and the Harvard University Ezra Vogel Fellows Advisory Committee.


Formerly, Mark Fung was on the board of the Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL).
