The recipient of a master of business administration in finance from the Boston College Carroll School of Management, Scott Bushley has spent two decades guiding operations for investment-management firms and hedge funds in Boston and San Francisco. Early in his career, he gained experience in sales, operations, and strategic business development with companies such as Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Sunflower Capital Partners, and Atlantic Trust. In 2007, Scott Bushley joined BNY Mellon Investment Management in Boston, a multi-affiliate investment manager with more than $1.9 trillion in cumulative assets under management, as its vice president of strategic business development.

Over the next decade, Scott Bushley held positions of increasing responsibility for BNY Mellon, including director of operations for global distribution, head of global institutional and Americas distribution operations, and head of business operations. In the lattermost role, Bushley supported the chief executive officer in the implementation of a range of strategic initiatives while supervising relations with a network of 10 boutiques and spearheading projects such as the coordination of the firm’s global real estate asset-management approach.

Scott Bushley draws on this background in his current role as a partner and the head of finance and business operations for Granite Point Capital, a Boston-based hedge fund. In this leadership position, he manages all day-to-day activities across the firm’s information technology, human resources, infrastructure, and other functional areas.
