Justin Marrus

Justin Marrus is a respected New York attorney who has over six years of experience with the Kings County District Attorney as senior assistant DA. Handling a wide range of cases, Justin Marrus has tried more than a dozen cases to verdict involving issues such as unlawful possession of firearms, homicide, and armed robbery.

Mr. Marrus’ responsibilities involve in-depth interviews with police officers, civilian witnesses, and defendants in criminal cases. He oversees less experienced assistants throughout a process that includes trials and hearings, as well as witness interviews. Often encountering situations of varying levels of witness cooperation, he is tasked with assessing the credibility of these individuals in cases involving acts such as violence and sexual assault.

A graduate of Roger Williams University’s Criminal Science program, Mr. Marrus completed legal studies at the New England School of Law. From 2004 to 2010, he served as a summer associate with Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy and Bach, LLP in New York City and was responsible for researching and drafting memos on complex legal matters. Justin Marrus also provided lawyers with assistance in witness depositions and preparing cases for trial.
