In October 1984, Ira Saul's client was awarded $1.4 million in a case involving a cancer misdiagnosis. In the malpractice lawsuit, Ira Saul represented a woman who accused two physicians of misdiagnosing her cervical cancer. Although he was victorious in the lawsuit, Ira Saul stated, "There is no joy... [in winning the lawsuit]."
Ira Saul graduated from Dickinson College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts. He earned a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law in 1975, and soon Ira Saul established his private practice, Ira S. Saul, PLC. A member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fairfax County Bar, Ira Saul is also affiliated with the Northern Virginia Apartment Association. A regular lecturer, educator, and speaker, Ira Saul discusses subjects regarding real property litigation, the Internal Revenue Code, and information technology law matters.
