Ira Saul is a highly experienced business lawyer and transaction attorney, focused in the areas of information technology and real estate. Representing small and midsize private and public companies, Ira Saul counsels a range of businesses. Ira Saul's clients have included Internet service providers and website development and management companies, as well as government contractors, hardware and software developers, buyers, sellers, lenders, and brokers. Ira Saul also represents medical professionals, insurance companies, and retail businesses as his clients.


With a wealth of experience in a myriad of practice areas, Ira Saul has won numerous cases over the past 30 years. In October 1984, Ira Saul's client was awarded $1.4 million in a case involving a cancer misdiagnosis. In the malpractice lawsuit, Ira Saul represented a woman who accused two physicians of misdiagnosing her cervical cancer. Although he was victorious in the lawsuit, Ira Saul stated, "There is no joy... [in winning the lawsuit]."


Ira Saul graduated from Dickinson College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts. He earned a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law in 1975, and soon Ira Saul established his private practice, Ira S. Saul, PLC. A member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fairfax County Bar, Ira Saul is also affiliated with the Northern Virginia Apartment Association. A regular lecturer, educator, and speaker, Ira Saul discusses subjects regarding real property litigation, the Internal Revenue Code, and information technology law matters.
