Wataru Takada is a high-achieving Bronx High School of Science student who has completed coursework spanning honors precalculus, advanced placement physics, and math research. In the latter sphere, Wataru Takada has been active in mentor-guided research into applications of incidence combinatorics and algebraic geometry. He is working toward submission of the project to the annual Regeneron Science Talent Search competition.


Mr. Takada’s accomplishments include receiving a silver medal for the Greater New York Math Fair project "Properties of an Apollonian Gasket.” He recently took on an appointed role as editor of the Bronx Science Math Bulletin.


A volunteer with the nonprofit Top Honors, Mr. Takada has not missed a single tutoring session since joining the group in the fall of 2015. His consistent efforts earned him in June 2016 the "Most Supportive Award.” He has also undertaken a Japanese to English manga translation project with Eien Scans, focusing on Ririko Yoshioka’s "Kimi ni Chiisana Uso Hitotsu.”
